Star Spangled Fourth of July Entertaining Ideas

You have invited your guests for your fourth of July party, set your menu, and bought all of the fun patriotic decorations you can get your hands on (okay maybe not), but we bet you could still use some last minute entertaining tips and ideas for the Fourth of July.
Stay in Touch with Your Guests before the Fourth of July arrives
Once you have invited your guests, it’s a great idea to stay in touch with them and collaborate. Using a free invitation app like PurpleSlate will allow you to assign dishes, and make plans with your guests. It is definitely more fun, and easier on you, if everyone pitches in.
Pre Made is Okay!
Don’t feel as though you have to be Martha Stewart to throw a great party, if you are short on time, use what is available. Buy red, white and blue beverages like Strawberry Crush and Izze Blueberry. If you are wanting to stay healthy, big bowls of blueberries and strawberries will add a festive look to your table, or for the sweet tooth – festive M&M’s.
Make it Personal
Making gift bags for your guests is a great way to make them feel special, as well as take some of the pressure off of you – making gift bags that contain travel size wipes, sunscreen, water bottle, small treat and of course a personal set of sparklers (it isn’t the fourth of July without them) – this will keep your guests comfortable, having fun and alleviates you from worrying that your guests have what they need to enjoy their day.
Take Pictures
Taking lots of pictures is a great way to not only enjoy the day but remember it for years to come. Try your local dollar store for fun props and ideas – and then catch fun images of your guests clowning around throughout the day. Afterwards, you can use PurpleSlate’s photo editor, and share them privately with your guests. If you really want some great memories try taking video as well.
Don’t Forget the Music
Encourage your guests to bring their favorite music. Smartphones make this easy, so have guests take turns playing their favorite playlists and at the end of the evening provide a prize to the guest with the best party music. iHome, makes quality, easy to use speakers that easily transport and have nice sound quality. For your playlist here is a list of the top 100 party songs.
Remember, the most important element of any fourth of July party, is having fun and making memories. So, while you are planning for your fourth of July get together, keep it simple and collaborate. PurpleSlate makes it easy to stay in touch with our guests and share memories after.
Life is better when we get together. PurpleSlate makes it easy.
